Founded in 1978 as the Buchanan Area Foundation, today we are Michigan Gateway Community Foundation, serving South Berrien and Cass Counties in lower southwest Michigan.Our mission is: Fostering a community of philanthropy, for good, forever. Over the forty years of our existence, we have worked to create a strong, caring and vibrant community in the area we serve, helping our donors support the charitable programs and organizations they care about and that make our corner of the state a great place to live, work, and raise a family.Here’s to the next 40 years!
