There are 16 active members in the group from Marcellus, Cassopolis, Edwardsburg, Niles, Brandywine & Buchanan High Schools.

The six senior graduates are Abby Butler, Niles High School – attending St. Mary’s College; Danny Touhey, Niles High School – going to NYU; Taylor Brandstatter, Niles High School – going to DePauw University; Max Habicht, Edwardsburg High School, headed to University of South Carolina; Sarah Long, Buchanan High School – attending Grand Valley State University; and Eric Reed, Marcellus High School – going to Michigan State University.

In the past 12 months they have served their community through philanthropic activities, making grants from the Youth Endowment to: Music with a Message (assembly’s at local schools), United Way of Southwest Michigan (Cass County Backpack Spectacular), Niles-Buchanan YMCA (Youth scholarships), Salvation Army (Feeding his Sheep backpack meals), Edwardsburg Little League (Batting Cage).

“We will miss the leadership and personalities of these graduating students, but their examples will be carried on by the remaining members, and the new recruits we will welcome in August” stated Jayne Lamb, Youth Advisory Coordinator for Michigan Gateway Community Foundation.
